Our next market will be indoors (due to rain in the forecast) in the Cedarhill Scout Hall on Cottonwood St. (behind the Jewish Community Centre). We will have lots of fresh, local produce from Sunwing and Gobind Farms and much more-all at wholesale prices! 

Jewish Family Services of Vancouver Island is proud to help individuals, families and seniors is our communities to better afford fresh,local produce. Did you know that JFSVI can continue to offer this market with the assistance of grants and community donations? We also run this program with a volunteer crew to keep our costs as low as possible. Our goal is to break even. Any leftover produce is donated to the Shelbourne Community Kitchen. 

A big Thank-You to Omnitsky Delicatessen in Vancouver. They give JFSVI a generous discount on their jumbo Kosher hotdogs for our summer BBQ. Cobs bread donates rolls and other goodies, Fairway Market donates space in their coolers and Fernwood General Store helps us import fresh produce from Vancouver. The Jewish Community Centre provides space in their parking lot, and last but not least the Cedarhill Scouts donate their indoor space and provide storage for us as well! Truly a community effort and we really appreciate all their support!
