Passover Gift Card Program

This week, we mailed or hand delivered grocery gift cards for Passover to JFSVI clients. Including family members, we directly assist more than 80 people. Channah, our program coordinator, sent Fairway Market gift cards to clients living all across Vancouver island including greater Victoria, Nanaimo, Ladysmith, Shawnigan Lake, Courtney, Duncan, Chemainus and Gabriola Island. Our "Yom Tov" program allows our clients to purchase food for 4 Jewish holidays a year. This program is supported by a grant from Mazon Canada, a national Jewish organization, based in Montreal.

We will also be hand delivering Passover packages to those clients that are in nursing homes or assisted living complexes and are unable to get out and go shopping.

Passover can be an expensive holiday, and thanks to Fernwood General Store we can supplement Kosher meat purchases for families in financial need. JFSVI wishes everyone a joyous seder with family and friends.
